Tariq "Rick" Sharif is a Bahraini-born artist, renowned for his exceptional ability to craft unique and captivating artwork using a combination of blades and coloured paper. As the Founder and Creative Director of his own art studio, he has garnered a reputation for creating stunning renditions of celebrities, movie figures, comic heroes, and individuals from all walks of life.

Currently based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Tariq's artwork is entirely handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. While a distance view of his paintings reveals strong, photographic-like pictures, a closer inspection exposes the intricate details of each individual cut, performed meticulously by hand with a blade.

Drawing inspiration from his love of comic books, Tariq has created remarkable “portraits” of iconic characters such as Superman, the Hulk, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, and many more. His celebrity portraits include the likes of Sir Patrick Stewart, Michael Jordan, Mohamed Ali, Tupac Shakur, among others.
